Forgive, let go, move on.
He wasn't prepared to give them one more year. Or one more day. Not even one more minute. And we can understand that - but what is harder for us to understand is that it was up to him - it was his decision.
It was not about being bigger than them, or turning the other cheek. It was about reclaiming his life. Mandela knew what it was like to be in prison, your every move controlled by others. And he wasn't prepared to voluntarily enter a new prison on his release - the prison of hatred, grudges, regrets, resentment.
However, it's easier to complain and do nothing. It takes discipline to develop this strength. And it takes a decision - a commitment on your part - to begin with.
Mandela used his past to learn and move on. We can do the same. We too are often imprisoned by regrets and resentments. What he saw is that these regrets are themselves a prison. By fixating on them, we give away the key to our future. Then we become bitter and small. How likely are we to find happiness that way?
The wonderful thing is that no matter how many years have gone by, you can change your attitude in seconds. Make the decision to let go and move on . make sure that you have removed all internal resisters to this decision ... and you will change your life overnight! This is what we learn during Kaizen Wealth Transformational Weekend.
The next Kaizen Wealth Transformational Weekend, takes place on the 30 - 31 August - if you'd like to enquire further, phone my office on 012 542 4560

Lessons in Wealth from Flying a Helicopter
In my case, I learn a lot from my helicopter!
- - Perhaps because it is a pleasurable hobby so I’m relaxed and in a receptive mood.
- - Perhaps because I must concentrate to fly – so I am focused.
- - Maybe also because there is a ritual you have to follow to fly safely, and that gets your mind into a contemplative, somewhat meditative state.
The other day I stepped out onto the helipad, at the airport, in the beautiful still winter morning, and my plan was to fly.
- I was not wondering whether I could fly...
- Whether I’d be lucky enough to fly...
- Whether I was special enough to have been born with the talent to fly...
I knew that there was a close to 100% chance that I would successfully fly, simply because ...
- I pay attention to the weather and choose the right conditions;
- I am a helicopter pilot - I have been trained to fly;
- I follow a set of safety and startup procedures that allows me to lift the helicopter off the ground and guide it through the air;
- I follow a schedule of maintenance to ensure that all parts of the helicopter are in good condition;
- I fill up with more than enough of the fuel I need, which is Jet A1 fuel - the right kind for a turbine engine.
As I prepared to fly, I was thinking about wealth creation which, like flying, is something anyone can do if they have the right training and follow the right procedures. I thought about the 20 or so steps that come before I can lift off. If I omit one, I either do not lift off at all, or I take a risk.
- I inspect the helicopter from the outside
- I inspect it from the inside
- I switch on the battery
- I switch on the generator
- I switch on the booster pump
- I press a timer and wait for 30 seconds before I switch on the starter
- During these 30 seconds I inspect all the warning lights to see if they are in working condition – by activating nine different warning bulbs. If a light comes on when I test it by pressing it gently, I know the warning light and therefore the system it indicates, is working
- After the 30 second period is up, I flick the starter switch on. Immediately a green light comes on – at the same time the blades start moving – first very slowly but gradually they build up speed
- Two to three seconds after the green starter light goes on, a yellow light – for the igniters - comes on
- Within eight seconds I hear the igniters ignite – it sounds like that “whump” you get if you throw petrol on a fire!
- Once the igniters fire up, the yellow light goes off – signaling that the process was successful. In the meantime the green startup light is still on
- I wait for the revs to go up to 14 000 – at that point the green light goes off
- Within 90 seconds the blades become synchronized with the turbine and I can physically see, feel and hear when this happens
- I slowly push up the fuel lever – pumping more and more fuel into the turbine
- As soon as I touch the fuel lever, a big red light comes on
- As I slowly push the fuel lever up, I make sure the tail pipe temperature (T4) does not increase by more than 30 degrees
- The turbine and blade speed pick up as I slowly push the fuel lever up
- At 33 000 revs the governor kicks in and the red light goes off
- The main rotor blades are turning at 360 revs per minute (RPM) and the tail rotor blades are turning at 2000 RPM
- All the temperature metres are in the green
- All warning lights are out
- It is safe on the outside
- The friction on the collective is still on – BUT I AM READY TO FLY!
Sounds like a lot. But any pilots out there will know this is all simple procedure. Routine.
And you know what? So is wealth creation!
Once you are trained and have put in the TEM$ (the Time, Energy Mindset and some money ($) to educate yourself) – to fit in with the requirements of the law of understanding, then you know that you have educated yourself and learned what you need to know.
· I KNOW I can fly because I learned. Simple.
· It’s not LUCK because I do it over and over and over, and so do all the other pilots and Wealth Creators – because they follow a system.
· It’s not TALENT - for the same reason.
What has all of that got to do with wealth creation?
Wealth creation is not about brilliance, talent, drive, luck or education. It’s about repeating a proven set of steps (a system) in the correct order, without missing one out, every time.
Just like flying, I know it’s not luck, it’s choosing the right moment to take certain actions (for instance, is now the right time to invest in property?)
It’s also following a set of instructions without taking short cuts. (The Formula for Riches™)
And it’s having the training (mentally, physically and emotionally) to know what to do, when to do it and HOW to do it
Of course, most of all, it’s WANTING to.
I love to fly because it makes me feel happy and free. That’s what I like about wealth too.
How about you?

PS - The interest rates are up. The petrol price is up – and we are again on holiday. This time I am writing this from Marloth Park next to the Kruger National Park.
Over the last four months we have increased our passive income in our property portfolio by R10 875.00 and we have signed another contract that will push it up further to R34 625.00. In my next Property Investment Seminar I will show you for the first time how I have used the Zagger principle in the current economy to lower our risk by increasing our passive income. The Poor Go With The Flow
1.) The Poor Go With The Flow
2.) Life changing events
=================================
1.) The Poor Go With The Flow.
=================================
As I write, I am sitting on a sand dune above Bloubergstrand. Yesterday a cold front swept through the country, and when we left Pretoria it was raining. A great black thundercloud rolled over quite early in the morning, and we had thunder and lightning, the kind we expect in a typical summer Highveld thunderstorm. We enjoyed the unexpected contrast with the usual golden, dreamy, dry stillness of the winter veld.
Today as I look along the beach I see two kilometres of perfection. It’s still. It’s warm. The sea is lapping almost at my feet. When I look up, I see the famous picture of Table Mountain in front of me. I’ve seen a thousand calendars with this picture on it ... I’m sure you have too. It’s the Fairest Cape putting on a show. I wish you could see it. Next time I’ll take my camera and I’ll send you a picture! Or perhaps you’ll be here too, or somewhere just as lovely, because you know how to use the Formula for Riches™ to make your money work for you – and so you can take time off, lots of it, to really live and love your life.
For now, though, I’m not sharing this with anyone. You’d think there would be lots of people out here enjoying a magical day. It’s 10am. It’s balmy. I look up the beach. I look down it. But no. There is not a single soul out but me. I have it all to myself. This is not unusual. I am often playing while others work a 9 to 5 shift, feeling chained to their jobs when they’d rather be kite-surfing or sailing out here.
Tanja and our daughter Lara are now walking down the beach towards me. They’re going shopping just now, and then who knows, maybe we’ll take a drive out to a wine farm to enjoy the perfect weather and the breathtaking Cape winelands scenery. Maybe we’ll have a picnic with a little wine and cheese under the oak trees in front of a Cape Dutch homestead. Or a meal in an award-winning French restaurant in Franschhoek. We’ll see what we feel like.
Just so you know, though it is a gorgeous day, it’s quiet an ordinary one for me. By which I mean, I spend a lot of time enjoying beautiful places during what is usually called “working hours”. Because I can. Because I use the Formula for Riches™ to make my money work for me around the clock. And this has set me free.
In the meantime, I’m looking forward to teaching people how to invest in property at a seminar planned for Cape Town.
“Why property?” you may ask. “Why now? When the headlines say we can expect a huge fall in capital values?”
Well I’m not going to go into it too much right now (I do that in my Property Seminars) but let me just leave you with one thought. I’m watching the waves roll in and out at my feet. I see that they come and they go.
Like fashions...
Like investment bubbles...
Like booms and busts...
Like interest rate cycles...
And I know that most people will change what they do and how they invest based on whether the tide is taking them in or out. They go with the flow.
The reason I am here enjoying the beach and they are not, is because I don’t go with the flow – or not the flow of popular opinion and “expert projections” anyway. I go by the numbers. My properties bring me money, positive cash flow, in good times and in bad. Whether the tide is in, or whether it’s out ... the money comes in anyway. That’s why I’m here, walking barefoot on a beach at 10 o’clock on a Thursday morning.
Have a great week!

2.) Why do most businesses struggle financially?
--------------------------------------------------------
The bit 99% of people forget when they start a new business – which is why they’ll struggle to become financially.
Unlike what the vast majority of “experts” will tell you, your business should be a success from the word go. I expect any new business to be generating a positive cashflow within the first month. Yes, ANY business! Sometimes it happens within the first few days or hours.
This may seem astonishingly fast.
But I am not surprised. I expect it!
Why?
I do not think of a business idea today and then launch it tomorrow. If I did it that way, it would take months or maybe years to get those kinds of results – IF EVER. And meanwhile, it would incur costs (risks). That’s why most new businesses fail – risks (costs).
You see, there is a whole “hidden” stage of starting a business that is seldom thought about, and even more seldom discussed. It’s the stage of the idea, the incubation, the planning, and the testing.
Warning! When you see the word “planning’ do not make the mistake of thinking I mean business plans!
To my mind, business plans are smokescreens and delayers and confusers and intimidators disguised as planning.
Why do I say that?
Well, getting up to your elbows in jargon and paper makes you think you’re doing something constructive, but mostly what this really does is scare you into thinking you need expert help or should stay away entirely;
... or satisfy you and make you think you are really doing something constructive when really you are avoiding doing so!
And if you are a delayer or someone who is dependent on others to tell you what to do, are you a Wealth Creator? No, because you are not taking responsibility AND you are not truly taking action!
So, to a true Wealth Creator, planning and all the stages that happen before you open your doors or your website are not the same things that people who stay stuck in life think they are!
Let’s get back to what it’s really about!
The idea leads to thought, thought leads to design, design leads to implementation – when the time is right. In your head you think it all through. In no particular order all of the below will come into it ...
- Everything your new business or product might be.
- Everything you decide it will not be.
- Who it will appeal to.
- How to gain their attention and keep their interest.
- What it will do for them.
- How it fits with other products or other people’s products.
- Where it leads to next.
- What form it takes.
- How it is structured financially.
- What the risks are and how to reduce them.
- What the goals are and how to get there faster.
- Whether or not your target market is interested.
This takes time. And a lot of it happens in odd moments. While you’re driving. Chatting. Doing something else entirely. It’s a creative process.
The laws of the universe
* There’s a law of the universe called the Law of Gender.
* This law tells us that there are two types of human energy – the yin and the yang.
* Now before you think “new age” let me just tell you that these principles are as old as humanity and that, put through the test of your own mind, they make a lot of sense.
* There is nothing religious about them.
* It is simply that there are two modes of being, roughly similar to the difference between the roles men and women play, as we traditionally see them.
* Although there are problems with this kind of over-simplification, it can be useful to start off learning to understand the principles in this way.
So the masculine or yang is the active, outwardly-focused side of life and the feminine or yin is the more inward-focused side.
I don’t like to say passive, because it’s not at all the right word. When a woman is pregnant she’s not passive, she’s growing a whole new life inside her. She may not be out there hunting, shooting, fishing or running a business, but she is performing the ultimate creative work, without which nothing else happens, ever!
The same kind of misunderstanding is why we also do not appreciate the importance of the stages of a business that take place before its official “birth”!
When it comes to the birth of a business, the pre-launch period can be equated to pregnancy and to the yin principle. It is characterized by inward-looking (i.e. pondering the idea, turning it over in your mind, building it up slowly inside you, seeing it take shape, what it is, what it isn’t, etc.).
This is the important point: from the outside it looks like not much is happening! A dangerous impression! Which leads many people to skip that stage altogether with serious results!
If you do not decide to put yourself through this phase, it is not going to jump out and insist on being noticed or understood! Unlike the active phase, which is out there for all to see, the inward “gestation” period can easily be overlooked! Wealth Creators learn not to make this mistake.
Once you understand this, you will also understand why Nikola Tesla, a great inventor who changed the way we live in the world, said this:
“Before I put a sketch on paper, the whole idea is worked out mentally. In my mind I change the construction, make improvements, and even operate the device. Without ever having drawn a sketch I can give the measurements of all parts to workmen, and when completed all these parts will fit, just as certainly as though I had made the actual drawings. It is immaterial to me whether I run my machine in my mind or test it in my shop. The inventions I have conceived in this way have always worked. In thirty years there has not been a single exception. My first electric motor, the vacuum wireless light, my turbine engine and many other devices have all been developed in exactly this way.”
Nikola Tesla’s many inventions ALL went through this process before they appeared in the outer world for us to see. And when you remember what kind of things he invented, you will appreciate that he is not talking wifty-wafty, nebulous New-Agey nonsense!
Tesla is the inventor of the loudspeaker, fluorescent lights, the polyphase induction motor, microwaves, the hydroelectric generator, vacuum tubes, radar, AC power, the rotary engine, and of course the Tesla coil.
Think of him when next you microwave your lunch or switch on a light!
Think of him when you plan your next business or product. Ask yourself whether it is so well planned that it could be built perfectly first time. Ask yourself whether your business is so well planned and designed that it works exactly as intended, from the first day.
THIS let me tell you, is a MAJOR way of reducing risk – because it costs you nothing while it’s in your head. You iron out the problems before they even happen. And if you know about wealth creation you will know that eliminating risk is THE single biggest factor in your success!
By the time a new business of mine actually launches, for me the process is not really beginning – it’s almost over. From now on it’s purely a matter of managing, adjusting and applying the Kaizen principle (constant and never-ending improvement).
And that is why a supposedly feminine principle, involved in pregnancy and creativity, has hard-nosed and very practical implications for the most masculine of businesses and the most active, get-out-there-and-do-it kind of men.
If you understand this you will truly own one of the greatest secrets of a Wealth Creator.
Have a wonderful weekend

A cool story by Bruce Muzik
I spent the weekend with a fascinating man called Hannes Dreyer. Hannes is a multi-millionaire property investor and is also one of the MILLIONAIRE MENTORS speaking at my Wealth Blueprint seminars this month.
Hannes told me an amazing story that I'd like to share it with you.
At one of Hannes's seminars, a skeptic in the audience, who was doubting that Hannes's "Formula For Riches" could really work, said "That's easy for you to say, because you are rich! How can I make money if I have no money?"
Hannes, being a man who walks his talk, decided to create an extraordinary challenge to PROVE to this man that it does NOT take money to make money. Hannes announced to the world that he was going to take less than $150 and turn it into $1.5 MILLION in less than FIVE years.
So, what happened next? Well, Hannes did NOT start with just $150. He started with only ELEVEN CENTS!
Within only TWO years, his ELEVEN CENTS had grown to $1.4 MILLION, without Hannes using any of his other WEALTH as leverage.
Within only TWO years, Hannes proved to the world that IT DOES NOT TAKE MONEY TO MAKE MONEY.
DO YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW HE DID IT?
Well, it turns out that he wrote an e-book called "The Formula For Riches" that explains exactly the formula he used to make his $1.4 MILLION from only ELEVEN cents. This weekend, I twisted his arm and persuaded him to give you, the most important chapter from the book for NOTHING!
So, go get your 77 page e-book now at www.designer-life.com/hannesbook/. This e-book is going to rock your world.
DO YOU WANT TO SEE HANNES AND I LIVE IN ACTION?
I have been so impressed by Hannes and his no nonsense approach to creating wealth that I asked him to share the stage with me at TWO public talks (in South Africa) called "Why You're Still Broke And What You Can Do About It". Book your seat at www.designer-life.com/events/WhyYoureStillBroke.html
For those of you outside South Africa, go download his e-book NOW and find out how "The Formula For Riches" works.
Till next time, see you in the front row.
Bruce
P.S. Hannes will be ONE of the MILLIONAIRE MENTORS who are going to be teaching you how to create real wealth at the Wealth Blueprint seminar this weekend in Johannesburg and next weekend in Cape Town, South Africa. Why You’re Still Broke, and what you can do about it!
Are you still struggling to make the kind of MONEY
you would LOVE to be making?
Does creating WEALTH sometimes feel like an uphill battle?
In today’s world, everyone has a different opinion about how to become wealthy. Some teachers tell you to diversify your investments while others will tell you to FOCUS on one thing. Some teachers teach that property is the BEST investment vehicle, while others will tell you to BUY a franchise.
Everybody has a valid opinion and everybody thinks that their opinion is right. It probably is, but it is right for them because of who they are, and may be very, very wrong for you.
There Are Only EIGHT Paths To Wealth
Each one of us also has the potential to amass large amounts of wealth effortlessly, but only if we create it in a particular way. Just like Tiger Woods is naturally predisposed to playing golf, so you too are naturally predisposed to creating wealth in a particular way – a way that is the most natural (and most effortless) for you.
Why You’re Still Broke?
If creating wealth has been an uphill battle for you, then chances are high that you are operating outside your natural path to wealth, your Wealth Profile. If that is the case, you are NOT only robbing yourself of your wealth, but also robbing yourself of your life.
What To Do About It
Join Bruce Muzik and Hannes Dreyer for TWO hours of profound insight on HOW you can become a person who attracts REAL wealth, without the struggle.
PLEASE NOTE: You will NOT learn ANY new techniques here. You can buy those in a book. You WILL learn WHO you need to be and HOW you can CLAIM your WEALTH naturally, FREE from the struggle.

1.) Is your car keeping you from wealth?
--------------------------------------------------------
You know, a year ago when I decided to give away a Jaguar XKR as a prize in the Kaizen Challenge (http://www.kaizenchallenge.co.za/ little did I know that the car would become a lesson in itself.
But I suppose I should have guessed! Because by the time you’ve completed the 49 day transformation, you’ve got to know more about yourself and the truth about wealth ... and why most people never become wealthy.
I thought I’d share a bit about it with you today ...We are 99,99% unaware of how we have been conditioned to want things we don’t need and that keep us poor.
In the 1920s, Edward Bernays and other founders of “public relations” (which, in his own words, was another term for propaganda) set out to help American manufacturers who were making more products than they could sell.
Just like today, mechanization was cutting jobs and jobless people don’t buy much.
So the market was shrinking. Bernays saw that cars (and clothes and shoes and everything else) were advertised in a very rational way. Adverts and articles in magazines and newspapers spoke about how long something would last, how many years of use you could get out of it.
Bernays realized that you would then only buy one new coat every ten say years.
One car might last you much longer!UNLESS you could be persuaded that the car (or coat, or pair of shoes) was going to make you sexy, successful, attractive, admired, up to date, and most of all, blissfully happy!
In that case, you might have several coats, a bunch of shoes, and you might buy a new car far more often!
AND IT WORKED!
Sales went up, and this method is still the main way we are encouraged to buy something! And that, people, is the very simple reason why we have been conditioned to love to shop and to think that buying something will make us happy.
It’s why we are using up the earth’s resources as fast as we can, and it’s why we throw away things that still work perfectly well.
It’s why people are wage slaves, it’s why women went out to work, it’s why au pairs and maids bring up children, it’s why we expect to buy the best car and house we can “afford” (actually, get credit for).
Most of us start our wealth creation journey driving the best car and living in the best house we CAN’T afford, and battling financially as a result.
It’s only when we truly “get it” that we can break free of this crazy rat race that is empty and meaningless and that leaves us burned out in the end.
The reason we think a car is desirable rather than just a way to get around, is because we’ve been trained to think of it as
......a status symbol ... a sex symbol ... a lot of fun ... a thrill ... a sign of affluence ... proof that you’ve made it ... a way to impress your friends ... a way to attract attention and envy ... and the opposite sex of course ...
And every single one of these things makes you feel good – and that is what we call selling on emotion. It is the only way you can get people to make decisions that are really bad for them.
At the dealer, we “collude” with the salesman and the bank’s finance guy to convince ourselves we can afford it. These salespeople structure ever more creative ways to hide the fact that you really can’t afford these cars! Residuals, ways to try and get around the Credit Act, etc. etc.
The winner of the Jag worked out that even if he got the car free he couldn’t afford it. By that I mean, yes, he had the money to maintain it, but the effect on his cashflow was going to slow him down from reaching his goals. (This, by the way, is what owning things we can’t really afford does to everyone and it is a major reason behind financial stress and retiring poor.)
Not many people could, in all honesty, have overturned the effect of all those sexy adverts, all that talk of acceleration and torque, all those macho billboards, and all the admiring glances they anticipate enjoying! And that is the power of conditioning. Is your car worth it?
Finding out could be YOUR first step to wealth!

3.) Is your risk assurance shortfall a disaster waiting to happen? By Ian van Greunen
--------------------------------------------------------
SA IS UNDER INSURED BY R10-TRILLION!
LIFE AND DISABILITY COVER IS SCANT AT BEST AND NON-EXISTENT FOR THE MOST PART!
These were the headlines that screamed at me a few weeks ago in national newspapers during the course of a single weekend!
What does this mean? It means that should the average South African die or become disabled, the family would be left in dire straits!
According to one article I read, in the age group 31-45 years, the average under-insured amount on life cover was a staggering 53% of what it should be! T
he same age group’s statistics for disability were almost as bad.
Here the under-insured figure was 46%.
So, chances are you are 53% under-insured!
What this means is that if you are in this age group right now, there is a VERY HIGH chance that you are currently 53% under-insured in terms of your life cover needs and slightly more than 46% under-insured against disability.
What should you do next?
Averages and statistics help alert you to the problem, but nothing replaces doing the sums for yourself, taking into account your income and circumstances.
Do the calculations!
This week I had the sad task of handling the death claim of one of my previous clients from my days as an employee of a large corporate. It was my duty to call the bereaved widow.
I don’t know who had the bigger lump in the throat; her or me. But it was some consolation to us both that I was able to tell her that because her husband had done more planning than most, R5.3 million would be in her account by the next morning.
Until that call, she had no idea the policy even existed.
Now R5.3 million sounds like a lot and it is certainly going to be a very great help to the family as they pick up the pieces and carry on with their lives. But I know that because no proper estate planning was done in this case, and no true income need was ever calculated, it may still not be enough.
There is still the chance that the family may be forced to sell their home, downscale their lifestyle, withdraw children from their schools and/or universities and watch every penny from now on.
This is why planning is so important.
So let’s ask a question or two:
- When was the last time your financial situation was carefully and professionally analyzed?
- Are you aware that most financial advisors make their living selling products that are not going to work for you? (See http://www.retirequickly.co.za/ to find out why.)
- When last did your advisor go out of his/her way to explain to you the basic precepts of financial planning?
- Were the alternative products presented carefully explained to you in writing, so that you could make an informed choice?
- Are you aware of the fact with Retire Quickly, we can present not one but two alternatives to you, and literally shave millions off your specific needs and cut years off the process at the same time?
Reading the articles on how vulnerable most people are was an eye opener even to me, even after being this industry for over twelve years.
I really hope that it has given you food for thought. I look forward to telling you much more about how you can protect yourself and your family, by doing the right kind of planning!
Join Hannes and myself on Thursday 13th March for a free Kaizen Wealth AND complimentary tax, trust and Retire Quickly seminar. Details as per previous article.

4.) Kaizen Success Story - Gerhard van der Merwe
--------------------------------------------------------
“The changes I experienced over the past 49 days.
When I started the challenge I had a daily task of opening the news first thing when I got to the office. This made me wonder why I came back to South Africa as I was in the USA for 5 years, as everything that you read is negative. This also tends to make me negative and grumpy.
I changed this and now the first thing I do when I get to the office at 6 am in the morning is to spend time on ME, and what I can do to get to my goals. I do not read the newspaper anymore as it is only sensation and not helping me in achieving my goals.
After I started with the Kaizen Challenge I have also changed my personality, I am not short tempered anymore, I have more patience than before. I try to give more to the less fortunate that before, I now go out and find a reason to give to someone in a worst situation than me.
What has it meant to me?
I am now a more balanced person. This means that I always try to keep my wheel of life in balance, I work hard, but I also spend time with my family and with my Saviour Jesus Christ.
I will always try to be the best I can be to the glory of God. Money is not the most important thing anymore, I will strive to have abundance in all aspects of my life rather than just reach for money and be miserable. I am a Wealth Creator.
In what ways do I approach life differently?
I do not look at people in fancy houses and cars and think they had to do something illegal to get to that position. I now look at opportunities in all aspects of my life and I also analyze how it will help other people. I lost R270 000 in a business venture that I tried with other people, and instead of blaming them for the failure as before I now take full responsibility for it and I will change this to a class 1 experience.
I WILL recover that amount, I am seeing Philip today and I will get the Receiver to help me recover my mistake.
There are more opportunities than ever before and I like to share them with other people as it is nice to see other people grow and experience a change in their lives.
We had a bad run of incorrect promotional hats, and instead of being mad about the cost associated with it, we gave them to people who really appreciate the gift and it is such a pleasure seeing the gratitude they have for a simple gift like a hat.
My kids enjoy the spirit of giving as well. So we try to change negative experiences into positive ones.
What about my average day?
I now spend an hour every morning with my goals and business ideas and also praising God for what I have become. I question all information I receive and only keep what can help me reach my goals. I try to influence people to take responsibility for their own destiny, but that is sometimes easier said than done.
What will I do to extend this 49 day challenge to a year, and a lifetime? I will always spend time on myself and make my goals part of me. I will set small goals for every day. I work on a structured plan according to the Retire Quickly workshop. I also get my family involved and get them to be part of the planning and include them in the goals as in the end they are our goals.
I begin with the end in mind as I will also one day go to Botswana when I feel like going and not when the corporate world says I can now go for 5 days according to their schedule.
What qualities will I need?
Perseverance and the ability to believe in yourself and your goals. The rest will come when you make your goals part of your existence and are not bothered when people say it cannot be done. The greater good will always persevere. Always try to change for the better, NEVER stagnate or think you have arrived.
Enjoy what you are doing and share it with as many people as possible. Share with people who are in a less fortunate position than you and NEVER be envious of anyone’s achievements, but try to learn from that person as everyone has something to offer.
What IS required on a daily basis?
Goalsetting, alone time and always doing things with the greater good in mind.
Never doubt yourself, and always give to others. Not only money, but maybe empathy or encouragement.
What were some of the challenges?
To stay focused on achieving my goal of finishing the Kaizen Challenge so that I can take it further in my life to constantly change and challenge myself and filter out the noise that constantly challenge us to behave and spend in a certain way according to society. I am grateful for the changes that I could make and experience a life of abundance. I have not made more money yet, but the new Gerhard I have become is priceless.
Thank you for that.
I will also be the best I can be to glory of God as He is the one that is the beginning and the end.
My dreams and expectations and how and why I will achieve them!
I will achieve my dreams by setting goals for myself and also measuring my goals on a daily basis. I will live my dreams before I have achieved them as that will ensure that I can become what I really am capable of becoming!”.
